On Friday, July 17th, 2009, the Imam and the speaker of Sa'ad bin Mu'ad mosque in Alsafa district, Jeddah, in his sermon, attacked all followers of other Islamic sects.
This speech surprised many of the attendance, and which the Imam started it by asking Allah to have mercy on Sheikh Abdullah bin Jebreen who passed away on Monday, July 13th, 2009. He said that Sheikh bin Jebreen stood against Shiites and enemies of Islam. He stated that clerics from other states who appear in satellite channels are ignorant and work against Islamic laws.
Then, he talked about the status of Muslims and religious leaders in the Muslims World, and said that "Muslims around the world are nowadays seek the blessing of tombs, and they are living in great corruption. He, also, stated that "the nation will not survive from hell except one group which involves the followers of Sheikh bin Jebreen and religious leaders like him who are theists".
He attacked Shiites several times and called them "Rafidis". He depicted them as enemies to Islam and polytheists. At the end of his sermon, he imprecated those "who support and appear in satellite channels"; saying "O' Allah, limit their numbers, kill them and do not leave anyone of them".
It is noted the Imam of Sa'ad bin Mu'ad mosque deliver lectures and sermons after most of the five daily prayers, and turns the mosque's loudspeakers at a very high degree. He, also, turns on the external speakers in contrary to the instructions of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs which lately issued an order that prevents turning the external speakers except for calling to the regular daily prayers.
